Frank Mead grew up near the New Forest National Park in the United Kingdom, a place that has always held a special significance for him and his family. Childhood weekends were often spent enjoying picnics and ice cream after visits to Bournemouth Beach, memories that became deeply cherished over the years.
Frank’s enduring love for the New Forest continues to shape his life today. He frequently makes the 40-minute journey from his home up to several times a week, finding comfort and inspiration in the forest while preserving memories as his mother’s health declines. He dedicates his creative work to her, recognizing that the success of his releases is as much her achievement as it is his own.

Sam Stadtlander, also known online as Kazul, is the creative force behind Kazul Studios. She began crocheting at the age of 11 after receiving a “How-to” book, a set of hooks, and yarn for her birthday. Teaching herself the craft, Sam initially worked left-handed despite being right-handed in all other activities—a skill she has since refined into the ability to crochet ambidextrously.
In college, while earning a B.S. in Interactive Media and Game Development from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), Sam expanded her creative interests by taking up knitting and showcasing her handmade crafts at Sci-Fi and Anime conventions.
Today, she works in manufacturing, programming, and operating a laser cutter for sheet metal, while devoting her free time to softer, more creative projects. Through knitting, crocheting, and design, Sam continues to create imaginative pieces that she shares with others as a way to inspire joy and connection.
